Getting a Web Site Can Be Fast, Easy, and Inexpensive When You Know Your Options

So what do you do if need to get a web site but you're not sure how to go about getting one. The good news is you have several options. To help determine which option is best for you, ask yourself the following five questions:

1) How computer literate am I?

2) How easily do I learn new computer programs?

3) How much time am I willing to put into this?

4) Is this the best use of my time?

5) How much money am I willing to spend?

If you are fairly computer literate, learn new software programs fairly easily, and are willing to spend some time, one of the cheapest ways to get a web site is to build it yourself.

You can use off-the-shelf software such as Microsoft FrontPage and either design your site yourself, or purchase a pre-designed template to make it even easier. The good news is you will be able to update your site as much as you want and it won't cost you a dime.

If you have little time or interest in learning how to build a web site on your own, you have several options. First, you can use an online "Click and Build" service. This route is fast, simple and you don't have to program anything. This option is inexpensive as well and also includes your web site hosting as part of the package. Check out http://www.its4domains.net for more information on this option.

Your other option is to let a professional handle it for you. I refer my clients to several web designers who work with small businesses and are relatively inexpensive. Cost will depend on the size of your web site and the capabilities you require but you can probably get a basic site built for less than $1000.

You Need a Website!
No matter the size of your business, having a web site is a low cost way to market your services and products twenty-four hours a day. Web sites are a constant advertisement for your business and will help you reach your targeted customers effectively. Your business will not be able to compete without a well-designed web site. There are several key elements to consider when you make the decision to start a new web site:
The Number One Reason Most Websites Fail
Failure, just like success, is measured differently by each and every one of us. What one man treats as success another may view as failure. For the purposes of this article a website that fails is one that fails to attract and convert enough targeted visitors into paying customers. Yeah - positive feedback from your website visitors is great but let's face it - we're all in this ultimately to make more money.

In Business? 10 Reasons Why You Need a Website -- Now!
1) Word of Mouth The single most powerful form of new business creation is word of mouth. Your past customers, friends, acquaintances and staff aren't likely to carry your brochure or even your business card everywhere they go. The can however carry your domain name, in their heads! Every time they have a conversation that leads to your kind of business they just quote your simple domain name. You've chosen a simple domain name of course, easily remembered, easily spelt and requiring no explanation. For that reason avoid hyphenated names.

Cost Effective and Powerful Dynamic Websites w. Fantastico Web Hosting
If you are developing your website on a host that charges less that $5 a month, make plenty of backups as you are likely to loose your website files when the webhost goes out of business without notice. Indeed, be extremely wary of any such host. Once your website is attracting getting visitors, get your website hosted with host that does not foolishly try to over sell his server resources. And, expect to pay at least $15 a month or more for the added security and reliability of such a host.

The Secret Benefit Of Accessibility: Part 1 - Increased Usability
Web accessibility has so many benefits that I really do wonder why such a large number of websites have such diabolically bad accessibility.
