Get Rid of Your Frames

A few years ago a lot of websites utilized frame technology.

A website that uses this frame technology is apparent when the left hand or top of the screen stays the same and the inner part changes when links are clicked on. The main URL address always stays the same no matter what you click on.

Using frames can be a big problem for your website. Some search engines have trouble getting through the frameset to the actual web pages within your site, which may cause the search engines to not index it properly.

Search engines indes URL's (single pages). Because search engines can't really index framed pages that well, you risk the chance of having all your hard work produce no results.

You also can't link to a particular page in your site which could cause several problems.

The first being when trying to implement a linking campaign, other sites would not be able to link to any other pages, and there reciprocal links might not get indexed.

You wouldn't be able to use pay per click advertising as effective either.

Placing your products in shopping directories would be an absolute nightmare.

Thankfully, frames has gone out of style and isn't used that much anymore, but now you have a more definitive reason to get rid of your frames.

Ten Tips For Your Web Site Home Page
1. Loading time:
Designing Your Web Site For ALL Browsers
Let's face it. Building a web site that browses consistently on multiple platforms and multiple browsers is not always as easy as we would like.
See, works every time. Seriously now, for some reason people keep leaving your website and you can't figure out why. Try putting a "Click Here" button at the bottom of your page that does not specify where it will redirect your customer to. This link should lead to a more interesting page; one that you feel should not be missed. It is amazing that people fall for this, no matter how bored they are on your site, with a "Click Here" button; chances are many people will push it just to see what happens. Some people even get a little deceptive and play mind games by putting a "Don't Click Here" button on their page. OF COURSE you'll click a "Don't Click Here," it is human nature.
How to Create a Favicon for Your Web Site
One of the simplest things you can do to give your site 'identity' and to make it stand out from other sites is to use a favicon (favourite icon). They are the little logos that go next to the website listing in your favourites folder, and pop up in other places, (depending on your browser and operating system). To see one, go to www.bigwowwebhosting.com. Bookmark the site, open another browser window and then go to open the bookmark you have just made. The 'B' next to the words 'Big Wow Web Hosting- Home' is the favicon.
Creating Quality Websites
Websites, there are literally billions of them out there in cyber-space. How many of them do you go to and just think this is boring, bland, or hard to use? It seems like too many to mention. So what makes a good website? I reckon it's about interaction. You've got to make the visitor interested. You've got to grab their attention. Many sites use plenty of bright and shiny gimmicks to attract you, but once you make it through to the content of the site it's just not worthy. A good site uses easy navigation, relevant content, and interactive media like comments and message boards. If you're fortunate, whoever builds your site may even have a few tricks up their sleeves to make it really fun with sound, video, and other interactive fun stuff.

Other Ways to Look at Things
Many people today are tired of the Microsoft software that came pre-packaged with their operating system. Some have switched over to Apple's Macintosh line, but for the most part we just put up with what we have. Microsoft's Internet Explorer (IE) has come under a lot of fire as of late for several reasons. Hackers find IE easy to exploit.

No Matr How Goud The Infomation...
Typos, misspellings, hideous grammar, exclamation overkill and run-on sentences all undermine a Web site's message. Your reader will have to work too hard, and you won't have that reader long.
